Welcome to Rita Ibrahim

A very warm welcome to Rita Ibrahim, who has been awarded a competitive LKAS Scholarship to do a PhD with us. Rita did her BSc in Human Genetics at UCL, and an MSc in Public Health at LSHTM. She is co-supervised by Klaas Wynne (Chemistry) and Colin Selman (IBAHCM).

Rita is interested in how combinatorial variation in mitochondrial and nuclear genomes shape the response to nutritional variation, and whether that information can help to target optimal, individualised nutrition. This should help answer an old question: just what is a good diet, anyway?

Time to start backcrossing…
